Dr. Tim Nicholls graduated from the University of Sydney in 1995 with an Honours degree.  He was awarded three of the six final year clinical prizes in prosthodontics, periodontics and orthodontics.

Tim strongly believes that continuing education is a prerequisite to delivering the highest standard of dental care to his patients.  He regularly attends local and interstate continuing education meetings on a broad range of dental topics, to ensure he is using the most up to date techniques, materials and equipment for the benefit of his patients.

Tim prides himself on providing the highest possible standards of dental care in a caring and relaxed environment.  He believes the foundation to a successful dentist –patient relationship is to take the time to listen to your needs and expectations. Then after careful examination of your mouth Tim will formulate a treatment plan tailored to your individual needs and options that will give you the freedom to make informed decisions.  Tim strives to deliver to you the best dentistry has to offer.

Tim enjoys golf, tennis and cycling in the Bayside area.  Tim is married and has three daughters who keep him entertained outside work.

Dr John Rattray graduated with Honours from the University of Melbourne in 1974 and has practised at 141 Martin Street since. He feels most fortunate that the opportunity arose to work with colleagues, Douglas Hamilton and Patrick Field and privileged to look after individual patients and families both long-standing and new.  His commitment to this care also involves him in significant continuing education and professional development.

As well as his general practice, he was for 27 years a Senior Clinical Demonstrator of the Faculty of Dental Science and since 1993 has been an examiner for the Australian Dental Council.

Additional service has included chairmanship of the Dental Association’s Ethics Committee and Dental Health Education Committee, with recognition of this being the awarding of the ADA’s Achievement Award in 2004.  Further recognition by the Profession has included the awarding of Fellowships of the International College of Dentists, The Academy of Dentistry International and Pierre Fauchard Academy.

Dr John Rattray was also President of his Rotary Club in 1991 and with his wife Diana, has four adult children.  Outside of dentistry he enjoys travel, fly fishing and his Scottish heritage.
