Martin Street Dentists Join Connor’s Run 2024 for Brain Cancer Awareness
The team at Martin Street Dentists was all smiles as they took to the streets of St Kilda to participate in Connor’s Run 2024—a community event supporting the Robert Connor Dawes Foundation. This inspiring run, covering 9.6 km, helps raise crucial funds and awareness for brain cancer research, a cause that’s particularly close to the hearts of the team.
Connor’s Run, inspired by the life of Connor Dawes, honors the 18-year-old’s battle with brain cancer. Since his passing, the RCD Foundation has worked tirelessly to improve treatment outcomes and raise awareness for pediatric brain cancer, the deadliest of childhood cancers.
The Martin Street team, including Vivienne, Annele, Hannah, Maria, Teresa, Dr. Adam Sibio, and Dr. Brett Borger, crossed the finish line together, celebrating the success of both their run and the cause they were supporting. Even with Dr. Adam recently completing the Gold Coast Marathon, this event was all about fun, camaraderie, and community. At the end of the race, they joined others in enjoying the live band and BBQ breakfast at the Melbourne Boat Sheds.
Meanwhile, Angela was on hand at the VIF (Very Important Fundraisers) Tent, where she congratulated top fundraisers for their incredible contributions to this year’s event. With the current fundraising total standing at an astounding $1.7 million, these efforts will directly benefit life-saving research for brain cancer.
