Hello from all of us at Martin Street Dentists. As the festive season rolls around, our team will be taking a well-earned break to relax and recharge for the new year. We’ll be closed from December 24th and will reopen on January 6th, 2025.

If you experience a dental emergency during this time, don’t worry – we’ve got you covered. Here’s what to do:

1. Call our practice landline on 9596 4000. The recorded message will provide mobile numbers to contact. Leave a voicemail on those mobile numbers, as the landline won’t be monitored during the closure. Please be patient – while we’ll do our best to respond, our dentists won’t be checking messages constantly.
2. Send a text message to the mobile number provided in the voicemail. Include your name, contact number, whether you’re a current patient, and a brief description of the issue.
3. Book online via the “Book Now” button on our website’s homepage. Choose the next available slot, and we’ll shift you to one of our emergency appointments on January 6th or 7^th. You can also add your name to our online waitlist.

Tips for managing minor issues in the meantime:

• For chipped teeth or sore areas, avoid chewing on that side and steer clear of hot or cold food and drinks.
• Rinse with a warm saltwater solution to ease discomfort.
• Take pain relief if it’s safe with your medications and allergies.
